Hello Forward Friends-
It’s that time of year! The election is two months away, and we are in full campaign mode. Our volunteer dashboard has been updated to offer you direct links to our candidates’ volunteer signups, and text banking, which is live! If you want to know more about who we are supporting this cycle, I’ve got you covered. We have three “Meet the Forwardists” events planned, and all the Committees will be hosting candidate panels as well.
We’ll also have weekly Forward Text Force meetings. This will be your chance to get onboarded, ask questions about the candidates, and troubleshoot any technical issues with me. We plan to send out close to half a million texts this year, so we definitely need your help!
Volunteer Spotlight:
Our Volunteer of the Month for September is Chris Scott in Utah! He has stepped up to help the team there with parade organization and lobbying at the State Capitol, all very important work. When asked why he spends his time doing this, Chris said, “A majority of Americans want a viable third political party. To me, viable means less national drama, and more local results for people. I truly believe Forward can influence that and stabilize our politics. I work hard so our fellow citizens discover that we exist and associate us with being viable.” Thank you, Chris, for helping make us a viable party!

Your first stop to updates on the National party and how to plug into the work. We have so many new things to share that you may want to attend this again even if you have before!

Every Thurs until the election we will gather to onboard people to our text banking platform and send texts for our candidates together!

This first week will focus on candidates running on the Forward ballot line from various states and for different levels of office, and will be hosted by Chuck Todd!

We are working on some in person volunteer deployments this season. If you are interested in traveling to support Forward please respond to this email and let me know!
