SALEM, OR — On Tuesday, September 8, Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read will hold a press conference with U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley to address Oregon’s response to the Executive Order and U.S. Postal Service rules that could restrict vote-by-mail. They will cover what actions can be taken now to protect Oregon’s safe, accurate, and fair vote-by-mail elections, in addition to the ongoing legal challenges to the actions taken by the federal government.
