Do We Have Any Core Values Left?

Politics is a hard game, but when the actors become so pathetic that they must dig up dirt from decades in the past—and the dirt isn’t relevant or even true, just hateful and pathetic—it shows how despicable some politicians have become.

I call out Susan Margaret Collins, senior United States senator from Maine since 1997 and a member of the Republican Party, for her attack against Troy Jackson over his long-term relationship with his second cousin, Lana Pelletier, with whom he shares two children.

To put this into perspective, a second cousin is someone with whom you share great-grandparents. I have never met any of the many second cousins—23andMe keeps telling me about them!

I also call out Vivek Ramaswamy for his attack against Dr. Amy Acton, bringing up her father’s abuse of her as a child.

Shame on you! Have you no decency? And you want us to elect you to office? I wouldn’t elect you to clean my toilet.

Even worse, the President and Vice President seem to be just fine with this. Anything goes if it keeps them in office.

If this is what you have to lower yourself to in order to get elected, then GOD help us.

It is time for our elected officials not only to represent us, but to reflect our core values as well.

That is, if we have any CORE VALUES LEFT.

Do we?
