About the Forward Party
The Forward Party is a growing movement focused on practical solutions, electoral reform, and reducing partisan division. While it operates outside the traditional spotlight, it is steadily building long-term infrastructure—expanding ballot access, increasing voter choice, and strengthening local engagement across the country.
Led by figures like Andrew Yang and Craig Snyder, the party emphasizes collaboration over ideology and reflects a broader desire for a more balanced, less polarized political path.
The following emails offer a window into their ongoing efforts, priorities, and vision for a more functional and representative democracy.

I will also be covering local elections under this section. As a former Californian who moved to Oregon in 1975—living in Corvallis, then in Yamhill and Clackamas counties, while doing business primarily in the Portland metro area—I’ve developed a cross urban–rural perspective. From that vantage point, I believe Oregon’s politics deserve closer scrutiny, particularly given my concern that our farming, fishing, and timber communities are not being adequately represented by current policies.
I’m not carrying water for either party. My goal is to highlight issues in as nonpartisan a way as possible—because I live here, and so do my children and grandchildren.
