Here it comes again. Donny, Donny, Donny. If I were your daddy, I’d paddle your bottom and put you in time out. I am so tired of your predictable BS.
Voter fraud. Again.
Well, let’s start with the big elephant in the room. If the elections are rigged, if they’re fraudulent, then what the hell are you doing in office? You can’t have it both ways. The system either elected you legitimately or it didn’t. Pick one and live with the consequences of admitting it.
Now off to the Reuters races.
[WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) — White House officials have for months delayed the release of a U.S. government report that outlines what it describes as significant vulnerabilities in the nation’s voting machines ahead of the November midterms, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
The report, produced by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, concludes that voting machines could be further safeguarded by, for example, updating their software, the sources said. It does not say the vulnerabilities have led to votes flipping, but examines security gaps in how the machines are used during U.S. elections.]
Okay. The machines may have a problem. Fine. So why are you sitting on that information?
Could it be you’re waiting for the right moment to tell us?
Could it be they’re getting fixed quietly, and you’ll just never mention it?
Could it be this is simply step one of the plan to invalidate the midterms the moment they go against you?
Where’s that paddle — the one with the inch-wide holes drilled clean through it, the one shop teachers used because it really stung. Somebody find it. We may need it.
This Republic was built on the principle of fair and legal elections. Not “fair when convenient.” Not “legal until inconvenient.” Fair. Legal. Full stop.
So, Donny —
This isn’t a song about cake left out in the rain. But it sure looks like something sweet and green has melted down into the reflecting pool, and we may never get that recipe back the way it was. Even so — even when it feels like we can’t take it — there’s another dream waiting on the other side of you. There always is. That’s how republics survive men like you.
You made a big mistake thinking we were asleep at the wheel.
We weren’t. We aren’t. And we’re watching exactly what you do next.
